sfGFP under proD promoter

An isolated constitutive promoter proD (see Davis, 2010) exhibits higher expression rates than proC. Expression profiles of proC and proD are similar in different media. Their expression levels depend on E. coli growth rate, proving that expression driven by those promoters is constitutive.

The sfGFP fluorescence [RFU] was measured using Tecan fluorometer.

We observed that proD is up to three times stronger than proC. The hairpin concept has to be further elaborated upon and improved so as to stop translation in lower temperatures.
